Current natural disasters

Here is the map for August 21, 2011

 

I walked to the grocery store Tuesday and saw a lot of water running down the road a block away, and followed the water to its source. It was bubbling up through the center of the street. It was fixed by the time I got back.

This pic shows where the summer sun shines on the grass in my backyard.

Due to the bad air quality from all the nearby wildfires, I took a shorter mountain bike ride, doing the loop around Dick Nichols park.

I went on another mountain bike ride towards Barton Creek.  It clouded up as I left and started raining when I got to MoPac, so I turned around.  It was nice having rain, but it only rained 0.1 inch.  It didn’t make it to 100 today, breaking the string of 100 degree days.

I went on another mountain bike ride towards Barton Creek. I took a side trail to avoid the gully, but turned around after an hour. I saw a side trail leading down toward the trail (pictured), but I didn’t go all the way down. It was 104 degrees out, and I was feeling overheated.  Here is my path:
