I went on another mountain bike ride towards Barton Creek. It clouded up as I left and started raining when I got to MoPac, so I turned around. It was nice having rain, but it only rained 0.1 inch. It didn’t make it to 100 today, breaking the string of 100 degree days.

More 3d pics
I found a new program to create 3d pictures from left/right pairs, called StereoPhoto Maker.
It aligns the photos (the hard part) and separates the red/cyan for you.
Mountain bike 8/11/2011
I went on another mountain bike ride towards Barton Creek. I took a side trail to avoid the gully, but turned around after an hour. I saw a side trail leading down toward the trail (pictured), but I didn’t go all the way down. It was 104 degrees out, and I was feeling overheated. Here is my path:
Update on Obama’s birth certificate
I took the Barack Obama birth certificate from whitehouse.gov and opened in Adobe Illustrator and converted the groups to layers. Adobe Reader can see layers, so open this copy with it and click the layers icon on the left to see the different layers.

As you can see, almost all the information has been removed from the birth certificate and added back in. Some parts are split into two layers, like the mother’s occupation and signature, and the dates in the lower left and right.
I have no idea why this modified copy is on the Whitehouse web site instead of an original copy. Some people claim that this is a forgery of an official document and a crime, but I am not convinced there are any material changes.
Look for yourself and make your own opinion. Note that this is a large file (almost 9MB).
August Calendar
I made the Galpin family calendar for August 2011.
